The Puppy Handlers

These three wholeheartedly love our dogs & talk about “the puppies” 365 days a year. They are the reason South Austin Bernedoodles exists, their dream led us here. Lily will cuddle & care for your puppies until they get to your house, Levi will chase them through the yard for exercise and Ella will make sure all their needs are met (or speak on their behalf if she thinks someone isn’t getting enough attention). They’ve got the heart to make this whole operation work, the only thing we’re worried about is them begging us to keep all the puppies!

The Human Dad

This guy is here for it all. Whatever needs done, he does it. The human Mom & Dad are a team in everything they do. He (Marcus) is the one around here that makes dreams come true and when the kids asked to raise mini Bernedoodles, he’s ultimately the one who said, “yes, let’s do it!”.

The Human Mom

Much like the human Dad, I (Jennie) do all the things the Mom dogs and the puppy handlers can’t do. I’m the voice behind South Austin Bernedoodles and the one you’ll coordinate your payment and deliveries with. I’ve learned so much with this adventure and I can’t wait to meet our puppy parents!

Our Guardian Angel

This very good girl taught Cora & Ruby everything they know about capturing our hearts. The first year of their lives, she was their constant companion and before that she was ours. The spirit of Olive lives on in all our dogs, she was the gentleness, most fiercely loyal companion we knew. She was the kind of dog that never needed us as much as we need her and she holds a very special place in our hearts.

We’ve all got a job here!

Raising a dog takes work. Everyday there’s a task required to sustain life—food, water, exercise & attention!

Raising multiple litters of puppies and providing a healthy, happy start to life requires all hands on deck. Luckily we have caretakers of varying ages and abilities around the clock, under one roof! We have puppy stimulators for playtime, the self-explanatory clean up crew, the meal attendants for anyone that needs bottle feeding, the medic for weigh-ins and check ups, the photographers for those extra cute puppy photos and the accountant that runs the logistics. Someone is almost always home with the puppies, which is what makes this work! The dogs live inside with us, and when we’re outside they are exploring our 1+ acre lot with us.
